"We do not want to stay dependent on our husbands" a woman in Tan An, Binh Nam, Thang Binh, Quang Nam said during a training course on livelihood and credit held during the second quarter, 2011.
"We hope that the Fisheries Livelihoods Project (RFLP) will support women, especially in technical guidance and credit to raise chickens, pigs or other work to increase income the family". Ms. Dao Xuan Nuong, who married a marine fisherman in Binh Nam, said.

“After the course, I will talk with my husband about reducing the number of days at sea. I want him to do a job that provides more household income. Staying at sea is risky due to large storms." Ms. Huynh Thi Anh, Thang Binh District said.
