For three days, from 14 to 17 March 2011, Mr. Tuong Phi Lai, Director of RECERD gave training courses in Tuyen Quang Province    as part of the project "Conservation of fisheries resources through promotion of community model management in the northern mountains of Vietnam ", undertaken by the Center for Conservation and Development of Water Resources (WARECOD). He taught three training courses on fisheries management in the three communes of Na Hang and Lam Binh districts. Also, together with WARECOD  the convention on civil community participation in management of fisheries resources in Tuyen Quang hydroelectric area was discussed.
 
Providing advice on fisheries co-management is one of the strengths of RECERD. It hopes to contribute to enhancing the role of communities in managing natural resources in Vietnam.
