May 16, 2011, RECERD and Program Management Unit signed the agreement “Fisheries Sector Support Programme Phase II of Nghe An”. RECERD will advise on mapping the coastal waters in the communes in Nghe An Province.
These consulting assignments were included in the 2011 activities framework of the DANIDA-supported 2006 to 2012 program for Fisheries Sector, Ministry of Fisheries (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development). . The program was conducted in eight provinces of Son La, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Thua Thien-Hue, Binh Dinh, Dak Lak, An Giang, and Ben Tre.
This consulting package will assist the PMU FSPSII Nghe An province to map and explain the division of maritime coastal communes in Nghe An Province, as a basis to manage better fishing activities in coastal waters overfished by small boats.
The contract will end on November 30, 2011
